Astroyuga is India's emerging online astrology consultation platform, connecting millions of seekers with verified expert astrologers across the country. The brief was clear but technically demanding — build a highly interactive, low-latency mobile platform that handles real-time communication at scale while maintaining a premium consumer experience. We engineered the entire mobile ecosystem — consumer app, astrologer app, and a unified admin panel — from scratch using React Native for cross-platform delivery. The centrepiece is the real-time consultation system supporting both text chat and voice calls, powered by a WebRTC layer fine-tuned for variable mobile network conditions. Consultations are queued through an automated astrologer queue management system that factors in availability, specialisation, and real-time rating scores to route seekers to the most suitable practitioner without visible wait-time anxiety. The digital wallet system is tightly integrated into every consultation flow. Seekers pre-load credits and spend them per-minute during sessions — the billing engine deducts in real-time with sub-second precision, and both parties see live balance and duration counters during calls. Auto top-up prompts and low-balance warnings prevent session interruptions. Automated consultation logs capture every session's metadata — duration, astrologer notes, remedies suggested, follow-up dates — and make them searchable from the user's profile history. The Kundli generation engine produces birth chart PDFs on-device in under two seconds, with a match compatibility scoring system that accounts for 36 Gunas across eight categories. Post-launch, Astroyuga achieved a 4.7-star average rating within the first 90 days.
