About the client
Astroyuga
Following the mobile apps, the business needed organic search reach and a desktop experience suited to studying a chart in detail. We built a standalone web product sharing the mobile API.
- Client background
- An established astrology marketplace with successful mobile apps but no web presence.
- Business model
- Organic acquisition funnel feeding the consultation marketplace.
- Target audience
- Desktop users researching charts in depth, and search traffic.
Research & discovery
What we learned before building
Discovery ran before a line of production code. These are the findings that changed the brief.
User Research
Desktop users behave differently from app users. They arrive to study a chart, not to book a call, and they expect to adjust inputs and see the result change. That pushed us toward live in-browser charts rather than generated PDFs.
Competitor Analysis
Most astrology sites are content farms with a calculator bolted on. The chart tools were static images and the writing was thin, which left an opening for genuinely interactive tools backed by real editorial.
Market Analysis
Search demand for horoscope and Kundli terms is enormous and largely seasonal around transits. Capturing it meant page speed and publishing cadence were product requirements, not afterthoughts.
Journey Mapping
The path from a search result to a paid consultation was the whole point of the web build. Every chart tool ends somewhere useful rather than dead-ending on a result screen.
Our solution
The decisions we made
Each one traceable to a constraint above, not to a preference.
Birth, transit and compatibility charts rendered as SVG in the browser, updating instantly as inputs change.
An AI-assisted interpretation layer explaining Kundli, Lagna, Navamsa and Dasha in plain language.
A CMS letting the editorial team schedule 30 days ahead with automatic social card generation.
